ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Crescent City Film Festival is a student-run festival based in New Orleans focused on demonstrating the impact that Emerging Filmmakers can have in film and the arts. In its third year running, this festival will be geared towards filmmakers from the US South (Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Kentucky), as well as Mexico, the Caribbean Islands (Aruba, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, American Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands) and Central America (Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama).
This 3 day festival strives to bridge communication channels between divided areas using a diverse range of voices, creating an inclusive and welcoming community for creators. Both students and emerging filmmakers who have created 3 or fewer films from the regions listed are encouraged to submit their work. The Festival will showcase feature length and short films of all genres, documentaries, experimental films, and music videos.
